I pledge allegiance to (I promise to support) the flag (the symbol that represent the values of our great nation) of the United States of America (the different groups of people that agreed to be bound together by common beliefs) and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands (not democracy = mob rule)
one nation (e pluribus unum - out of many, one) under God
(a guide for good whomever you perceive that to be) indivisible (not able to be divided) with liberty ( freedom to do as you please as long as you hurt no one) and justice (the protection of your inalienable rights-given by one not of this earth ) for all (every living creature)
